Good places to see near Shannon en route to the house if you arrive early:

  • Drumoland Castle Hotel is en route very close to Shannon Airport and is great to pop into for a drink or something to eat on your way from or to the Airport. The golf club is a little more relaxed and also does food etc. It is a really beautiful place to stop off at and well worth the slight detour.
